How to share System Audio
System audio lets the bot listen to sound already playing on your device — like an interviewer's voice over a video call — instead of your microphone. It's a one-time browser permission prompt each time you start a session. Here's exactly what to click.
Pick "System audio" and start the meeting
On the session summary screen, select System audio under "Listen via", then click Start Meeting.
Choose the tab that's playing the call
Chrome shows its own "Choose what to share" prompt. Click the Chrome Tab option at the top, then click the specific tab running your interview/call (Zoom, Meet, Teams in-browser, etc.).
Turn on "Share tab audio"
This is the checkbox people miss most often — without it, Chrome shares the video but not the sound, and the bot won't hear anything.
Click Share — you're done
The bot now hears whatever plays in that tab and auto-answers what it picks up. A small "Sharing" indicator appears in your browser toolbar while it's active; click Stop sharing there (or End Meeting in the app) when you're finished.
Which sharing option has audio?
Not every option in step 2 offers the audio checkbox — pick one of the two that do.
| Share option | Has "share audio"? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome Tab | Yes | Best choice — captures only that tab's audio. Works on Windows and Mac. |
| Entire Screen | Yes (Windows only) | Captures all system sound. Not supported on macOS. |
| Window | No | Video only, no audio checkbox appears — avoid this one for system audio. |
Troubleshooting
- No "share audio" checkbox showing? You likely picked Window instead of Chrome Tab or Entire Screen — go back and choose one of those two.
- Bot isn't hearing anything? Confirm the shared tab is the one actually playing the call, its volume isn't muted, and your OS output volume is up.
- Switched tabs mid-call? The share only follows the exact tab/screen you originally picked — if you move the call to a different tab, stop sharing and re-share the new one.
- On a Mac and "Entire Screen" has no audio option? That's expected — macOS only supports tab-level audio capture. Use Chrome Tab instead.
- Using Safari or Firefox? Tab-audio capture is Chromium-specific — use Chrome or Edge for System audio to work.
